The new year is traditionally a time of renewal and fresh starts. What better way to start off the year than to give your body a healthy reboot? Let me explain…

Why 108?

  • In Hinduism, the Mukhya Shivaganas (attendants of Shiva) are 108.
  • The total number of scriptures like the Upanishads and Tantras is 108.
  • Tibetan Buddhist malas usually contain 108 beads.
  • At the end of each year in Japan, Buddhist temples ring a bell 108 times to signify the passing of the old year and welcome in the new one.
  • In Marma Adi and Ayurveda, there are 108 sacred points in the human body.
  • The distance between Earth and the Sun is about 108 times the diameter of the Sun.
  • The distance between the Earth and the Moon is also about 108 times the diameter of the Moon.
